Painter and
Miniature Artist Parisa Sahafiasl completed her Master's thesis in 2010 at
Tehran's Shahed University, within the Department of Art Studies. Her thesis,
titled "Tracing the Continuation of Decorative Elements in Ancient Iranian
Architecture through the Islamic Period up to the End of the Safavid Era,"
explores the evolution of Iran's rich architectural heritage during the
post-Islamic era. From 2013 to 2015, Sahafiasl began her academic career as a
lecturer at the University of Applied Science and Technology. During this
period, she guided graduate students in the Departments of Painting and Visual
Communication Design within the Faculty of Art and Culture, helping them
develop their artistic skills. Her courses included "Illustration Workshop
for Children and Youth," "Advanced Design Workshop,"
"Perspective Geometry," "Aesthetics,"
"Creativity," "Principles of Visual Arts," "Painting
Styles," "Perspective: Sculpture and Paints," "Principles
of Painting," and "Illustration Design Workshop." Additionally,
she provided support in various areas such as finding internship opportunities,
preparing internship applications, and advising students on challenges they
might encounter during their internships. Throughout her career, Parisa
Sahafiasl has focused on traditional Turkish arts, fine arts, and art and
design, making significant contributions to these fields. In her academic
career, she has served as a peer reviewer for several journals, including
Karatay Journal of Social Research, Mevzu; Journal of Social Sciences, Çukurova
University Journal of Social Sciences Institute, Motif Academy Journal of
Folklore, Nüsha Journal, International Journal of Art and Aesthetics, and
Akdeniz Art Journal. Between 2015 and 2020, she participated in various international
symposiums and panels, sharing her knowledge and experiences on Traditional
Turkish Arts. These events include the International Turkish Culture and Art
Symposium, the International Politics Panel, the International Scientific
Meeting on Nizam al-Mulk on the 1000th Anniversary of his Birth, and the
Conference on Common Aspects of Islamic Architecture in Iran and Turkey. As a
participant and an invited speaker, she has demonstrated her expertise in
miniature art and architecture on international platforms. Parisa Sahafiasl is
an artist who has won several awards throughout her educational journey. In
December 2001, she won first place in the High School Painting Competition
organized by the Ardabil Provincial Directorate of the Iranian Ministry of Education.
In May 2002, she again secured first place in the High School Pencil Drawing
Competition, also organized by the Ardabil Provincial Directorate of the
Iranian Ministry of Education. This award further solidified her drawing skills
and her success in the field of art. Additionally, in July 2002, she won first
place in another High School Pencil Drawing Competition organized by the
Iranian Ministry of Education. Possessing diverse artistic talents in Miniature
Art, Illumination Art, Painting, Pencil Drawing, Stained Glass Art, and Music
(playing the santur instrument), Parisa Sahafiasl became a member of the
Painting Department at the Iran Institute for the Development of Contemporary
Visual Arts in Tehran during 2015-2016. During this period, she deepened her
knowledge and skills in the field of art, continuing her professional
development.
Parisa
Sahafiasl actively participated in national and international exhibitions

Sahafiasl also held several significant solo exhibitions, including the

"Nigah; Miniature Art Solo Exhibition" in November 2022. In addition
to her exhibitions, Parisa Sahafiasl worked as a teacher within the Iranian
Ministry of Education from 2013 to 2014. She later served as a Miniature and
Illumination Instructor at the Samsun Atakum Municipality Public Education
Center from 2017 to 2018. From 2018 to 2020, she was a Miniature Artist and
Researcher with the Turkish Ministry of National Education, Samsun Provincial
Directorate of National Education.

Symposium on Turkish Culture and Art and the Book of the Sage Vizier Nizam
al-Mulk with her articles titled "The Characteristics of Miniature Art
During the Great Seljuk Period" and "A Contemporary Approach to the
Portraits of Nizam al-Mulk Depicted in Historical Sources, Influenced by Seljuk
Miniature Art". These works have positioned her among researchers
specializing in Traditional Turkish Arts.
