Toxicology and Therapeutic Drug Monitoring Research Group

It is a research group within Erciyes University, established in 2023 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Karakükcü. The group mainly conducts studies in the field of Medical Biochemistry, with a particular focus on illicit drug analysis and therapeutic drug monitoring. For this purpose, it utilizes advanced chromatographic techniques such as LC-MS/MS and HPLC. The main objectives of the group are:

• To perform illicit and banned substance screening and confirming analyses, To
• develop chromatographic methods for the detection and quantification of various drug ingredients,
• To perform therapeutic drug monitoring,
• To determine the pharmacokinetic distribution of drugs,
• Toxic element analysis using ICP-MS.
