Biyografi
Elif Barbaros is an enthusiastic EFL instructor and a PhD candidate at Erciyes University. She recieved her BA at Ankara University and MA at Erciyes University.
Her main research interests are Discourse Analysis, Genre Analysis, Metadiscourse, Corpus Linguistics, EFL/ESL Textbook Evaluation, Materials Development, Program Evaluation and Development for EFL Teaching, EFL Testing, Learner Strategies and Continuous Professional Development.
Since 2010, she has provided reviewer feedback for several well-known Oxford University Press titles such as English File series, Milestones series, Oxford Academic Vocabulary Practice series and Word Skills series.
She has designed an institutional Textbook Evaluation Criteria; written CEFR A1 to B2 level institutional writing materials; designed and edited institutional self-study & in-class materials for four levels, in addition to co-ordinating the team. She has proofread the Prep Program tests for over 10 years.
She started the institutional Continuing Professional Development Services in 2009. She has run institutional pre-academic year orientation and induction Teacher Training Programs as well as Trainer Education Programs for mentors.
She has designed a Student Satisfaction Questionnaire for the purposes of Quality Assurance and also co-ordinated the Quality & Assurance sub-units in their efforts to write syllabi for Prep Programs communicating with stakeholders as well as documenting the process.
