Özet

Periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical adenitis (PFAPA) syndrome, which was first described in 1987 by Marshall et al. and is characterized by periodic fever, aphthous stomatitis, pharyngitis and cervical lymphadenopathy is an autoinflammatory disease. This syndrome usually occurs in patients under 5 years and has a benign course. In this study we presented three children with PFAPA syndrome. All patients received multiple antibiotic therapies because of a diagnosis of upper respiratory tract infection and all three patients had dramatic responses to oral corticosteroid. With this case report, we aimed to draw attention to PFAPA syndrome because we believe that PFAPA is more common than estimated and is often misdiagnosed
