Özet
The Index Modulation-Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM-IM) technique has emerged as a promising alternative to traditional OFDM in recent years, offering performance enhancements. However, high-frequency operations in 5G and beyond networks introduce challenges like hardware impairments (HWIs) and channel fading, making it essential to evaluate their effects on system performance and develop solutions. This study investigates the benefits of Golaycoded OFDM-IM systems compared to their uncoded counterparts. Experimental validation using the LabVIEW platform and USRP-2439R hardware demonstrates that Golay coding significantly enhances BER performance across varying Energy per Bit to Noise Power Ratio (Eb/N0) conditions. The results indicate that the Golay-coded system achieves up to 37% BER reduction at low Eb/N0 levels (-25.83 dB) and maintains a 23% improvement at -16.67 dB, highlighting its effectiveness in mitigating transmission errors across various Eb/N0 levels. These findings contribute to advancing secure and efficient communication technologies, particularly for IoT applications.
