The Flora of T & uuml;rkiye contains many plant species and varieties due to its different climate and ecological conditions. It has great economic potential in terms of cultivated and natural medicinal plants. In this study, the effects of extracts obtained from the fruit part of the O. ficus-indica plant by different extraction methods were examined on antidiabetic, antityrosinase, antioxidant, and cell viability. For this purpose, after drying the fruits, the extracts were prepared with %70 methanol by maceration and ultrasound-assisted extraction methods. Then the alpha-amylase, alpha-glucosidase, and tyrosinase inhibitory effects as well as antioxidant capacities with DPPH and ABTS methods and cell viability of extracts were determined on RL95-2 and A549 cancer cells. As a result, it was shown that, the inhibitory effect of the extract prepared by ultrasound-assisted extraction method on alpha-amylase (IC50=395.123 +/- 3.477 mu g ml-1 ) and tyrosinase enzyme (IC50=551.633 +/- 1.159 mu g ml-1 and ABTS radical scavenging activity (0.522 +/- 0.041 mu MTrolox/gextract) was found to be higher than the other extract. It was also determined that the total phenolic and flavonoid content of the same extract was higher ((181.189 +/- 4,576 mgGAE/extract and 125.635 +/- 1.946 mgCA/extract). The effects of the extracts on alpha-glucosidase and tyrosinase enzymes and cell viability were found to be moderate. In conclusion, further studies are needed to understand which compounds were related to alpha-amylase inhibitory effect and antioxidant activity and mechanisms of action.
