Özet

Central venous catheters are being used more often in hematology-oncology departments recently. Catheter related complications, especially catheter infections are also increasing. In this review, description as well as epidemiology, pathogenesis, microbiological features, therapy and proflactic measurement of catheter related infections are revised under the light of the literature.
