Proficiency in basic skill areas students to understand and explain directly depends on the competence of their own vocabulary. The enrichment vocabulary of students' is related to the learning process of teachers in what they give words to what extent the design vocabulary of education and in terms of how this process is carried out functional. In this respect the purpose of this research is to perform situation on dictionary knowledge and the word for teaching competencies related of Turkish teachers and student teachers. Interviews method was used in the context of qualitative research approach in this study. This research was carried out through a working group (total 36 person) with 11 Turkish teacher candidates (...) University, Faculty of Education continue their education and consisting of 25 Turkish teachers working in the (...) city. The working group was created with the purpose and cluster sampling method. The obtained data is used to analyze the content analysis technique. It is understood according to the results more than half the participants carried out the words teaching practice traditional approach and directly using the dictionary. Generally it was observed Turkish student teachers have a better pedagogical competence according to Turkish teachers in terms of dictionary information and education of word in the study group.
