It is expected that the integration of humanoid robots and artificial intelligence technologies will significantly transform surgical practices, offering various advantages while also posing potential risks and challenges. This study aimed to explore in depth the perspectives of operating room nurses regarding AI technologies and robotic nurses. This qualitative study was conducted between March and May 2025 through in-depth interviews with operating room nurses. Twenty nurses completed an introductory form and participated in semi-structured interviews. Data were analyzed using an inductive content analysis method. The COREQ checklist was utilized in the study. Three main themes and nine sub-themes were identified: attitudes toward artificial intelligence technologies and robotic nurses, facilitators of AI technologies and robotic nurses, and concerns regarding AI technologies and robotic nurses. Most nurses demonstrated a curious and positive attitude toward artificial intelligence technologies. The most highlighted benefit of artificial intelligence systems was their ability to reduce workload. However, operating room nurses also expressed feelings of distrust, hesitation, and fear regarding AI technologies and robotic nurses.
