Exposure to endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDCs) over long periods of time or from an early age can cause hormonal imbalances and the development of metabolic diseases such as obesity and diabetes. The aim of this study is to measure the knowledge and attitudes of healthcare personnel and university students studying in the field of healthcare about EDCs. A survey was administered to the individuals participating in the study to measure their awareness of EDCs use; at the end of the survey, the anthropometric measurements of the participants were measured by the researchers using appropriate methods. EDCs are known to have relatively low awareness among the general population. In this study, 55.7% of students and 55.9% of healthcare professionals reported having heard of EDCs previously. Healthcare students and healthcare professionals are at high risk of exposure to EDCs, so they need to be more aware and, consequently, guide society accordingly.
