Cytomegalovirus (CMV) may lead to many clinical syndromes in people who have primary and secondary immunodeficiency and congenital CMV infection with the eclipse of different organs. In healthy people, it is usually asymptomatic or proceeds with mild symptoms. In this study, a 2-month old infant with chronic diarrhea and colitis caused by CMV without any underlying immune deficiency was described. The diagnosis was confirmed by serological and pathological methods. Clinical and histopathological evidence of colitis after the treatment with ganciclovir and intravenous immunoglobulin were improved. (J Pediatr Inf 2013; 7: 166-9)
