Abstract

AN OVERVIEW OF THE HISTORIES OF LITERATURE WRITTEN IN TURKEY DURING THE REPUBLICAN PERIOD

Many histories of literature has been written in Turkey since the foundation of the Republic. In this context, after giving a brief summary about the history of literature starting with Mehmed Fuad Köprülü, which is considered as the most important name in the history of written literature in Turkey, we will try to make a general evaluation.

Cumhuriyet'in kuruluşundan bu yana, Türkiye'de onlarca edebiyat tarihi kaleme alınmıştır. Biz bu çalışma çerçevesinde, edebiyat tarihi yazımının da Türkiye'de en önemli ismi olarak kabul edilen Mehmed Fuad Köprülü'den başlayarak edebiyat tarihleri hakkında ana hatlarıyla bilgi verdikten sonra genel bir değerlendirme yapmaya çalışacağız.
