In order to produce quality information in the social sciences, it is important to use a common language by researchers. Common language is to have a unity of meanings and certain terminology and reference combination. Qualified scientific activities can not be conducted in a discipline where everyone uses the concepts and terms indiscriminately and it is also practical activities carried out under the guidance of this effort can lead to wasted time and cost. The Pedagogy of Religion that it is in development period in Turkey needs certain terminology and reference combination. In this point it is necessary to make clear terms like "education of religion", "religious education", "teaching religon" that they are used frequently. First step for this to look at how used the concepts in literature. To trace of concepts in the relevant literature is important for developing of common meaning world and communication ground in The Pedagogy of Religion. In this study it is investigated how it is used above concepts in education literature in the Republic Period in Turkey by selecting some texts from specific names. In this research it is tried to show by particular example whether it has continuity and consistency in use of concepts. As a result it is seen that there is no consistency or semantic integrity in the use of these concepts in the literature substantially.
