This work reports dispersion properties of coated calcium carbonate in polymeric materials. Firstly, ground calcium carbonate was coated with different coating agents and then incorporated into polyethylene matrix polymer using different processing types (melt extrusion and high shear mixing). It was revealed that independent upon the type of coating agent and coating amount dispersion quality was not changed. However, dispersion quality was changed dependent upon the processing type used.
