Özet
Comprised of two words, tajahul al-arif (feigned ignorance, pretended ignorance) is a noun phrase meaning "the ignorance of a person who knows." It is produced from the words tajahul, which means "to pretend not to know", and arif, which means "the one who knows." In Arabic rhetoric, on the other hand, it is a type of embellishment that is briefly described as "presenting or saying something known as unknown due to a purpose."
