Abstract

In this study, a method based on the use of neural networks for modelling the linewidth enhancement factor (LEF) of laser diodes is presented. The proposed method involves a neural network to compute LEF when the gain and wavelength values are given as inputs. The results obtained from the neural model are in very good agreement with the experimental results reported elsewhere.
