Human capital plays a significant role in achieving green growth objectives, particularly in the adoption of environmentally friendly technologies and the reduction of carbon footprints. This study examines the relationship between human capital and green growth in European Union member countries using panel quantile regression (MMQR) for the period 2000-2018. The findings reveal that components of human capital significantly impact green growth. In particular, variables such as education expenditures and environmental patents are found to have positive and increasing effects on energy efficiency in the medium and long term. These results indicate that human capital can enhance energy efficiency and play a critical role in achieving sustainable development goals.
