Özet

This study suggests a new methodology that reliably evaluates the regions will provide the most efficiency and have the

highest potential in renewable energy production in investments such as Solar Power Plant (SPP). New methodology

presented in the study is a combination of Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), Fuzzy Logic and Clustering techniques.

In the study, the Variance technique was utilized for criteria weighting, the MABAC (Multi-Attributive Border approximation

Area Comparison) method was performed for ranking, a simple fuzzy interval definition technique was used for fuzzification,

and the K-mode clustering technique was used for cluster analysis. The application of the methodology was carried out for

the evaluation of solar energy production potential within the scope of the provinces of the Central Anatolian region of

Türkiye. According to the results in the monthly evaluations, it was observed that Karaman province had the highest potential

level for 7 months of the year and was harmoniously included in the cluster representing the highest potential. Similarly, the

provinces with the lowest potential are Sivas and Yozgat, and they were harmoniously included in the cluster representing

the lowest potential.
