For this purpose, ten heads of Merino sheep in different sex were used. Latex was injected through the carotid common artery, and the following was determined: No internal carotid artery is present. The angular oculi artery is absent. The superfıcial temporal artery is thinner than the transverse facial artery. The angulary oris artery that arose from the labii superior artery was no. The buccal artery arose rostroventrally from the maxillary artery. The alveolar mandibular artery entered the canalis mandibularis and left through the mental foramen as the mental artery.
It was observed that the external carotid artery and its terminal branches do not have important differences in merino sheep when compared with the literary data. However, significant differences have been found among individual species.
