Abstract

During the recent years, considerable attention for next generation wireless networks has been paid to OFDM systems with index modulation (OFDM-IM) due to high spectral efficiency with satisfying error performance. In this study, the average bit error rate (ABER) performance of an OFDM-IM system on double shadowed kappa-mu (κ−μ) fading channels with different channel parameters is presented. Additionally, the ABER performance of the OFDM-IM is studied with maximum likelihood (ML), log-likelihood ratio (LLR) and then the Greedy detection (GD) algorithm, which has less complexity compared to commonly used detectors such as ML and LLR.
