Posterior fossa astrositomları astrositik hücrelerden köken, alan, benign tümörler olup, pediatrik yaş grubunda en sık karşılaşılan intrakranial tümörlerdir. En kesin tanı yöntemi manyetik rezonanstır. Gross total rezeksiyon ile hemen hemen daima kür sağlanılan tümörlerdir
Posterior fossa astrocytomas are benign tumors originating from astrocytic cells and the most common intracranial tumors in the pediatric age group. The most accurate diagnosis method is magnetic resonance. These are almost always tumors that are treated by gross total resection.
