Efficiency is one of the most important parameters in animal breeding. Increasing live weight in meat production will also increase the yield per unit. For this reason, live weight is important in animals raised for meat production. This study was carried out to determine the effect of Marrubium vulgare L. added to the diet on quail live weight. The study used 45 female and 45 male quails and artificial lighting was adjusted to 16 hours of light and 8 hours of darkness. In addition to the KM, HK, HY, HS, TSBM, ADF, NDF and ADL values of Marrubium vulgare L. plant, live weight increase was observed in the 3 groups (control, 0.5%g/kg, 1%g/kg). While there was no statistically significant difference between the groups in quail live weights, the highest live weight was observed in the group in which 1% g/kg was added to the ration. This study is the first to investigate the effect of adding Marrubium vulgare L. to the diet on quail live weight. While the study results show that Marrubium vulgare L. supplementation may have a positive effect on live weight, further studies are needed to determine the appropriate dose and amount of effect.
