In this study, the aerodynamic forces and pressure distribution on the symmetric NACA0012 with flap have been analyzed with the help of the FLUENT (TM) CFD computer code. The calculations are performed individually for different lengths (delta(f)) and angles (beta) of the flap. The calculations bring out that the aerodynamic performance can be increased by using airfoil with flap. However, this increment is efficient until beta is equal to 15 degrees, and in the case of beta>15 degrees, the L/D ratio decreases due to the fact that drag coefficient increases.
