Abstract

Objective: Blastocystis sp. is one of the most common intestinal system protozoa in humans and it is infected with contaminated water and food through fecal-oral pathway. It is known that the proton pump inhibitors (PPI), which are commonly used in gastrointestinal system diseases, increase pH of the stomach.
