The image symbolizes the hydrogen evolution reaction of a Ni-supported Al-Zn-Si system in an alkaline environment. It includes textures supported by a real FESEM image and also contains clues about microgalvanic effects. The image design was created by the authors and combined with original scientific diagrams.
