This study aims to comparatively reveal how the Alternative for Germany (AfD) and the Dutch Party for Freedom (PVV) construct the themes of democracy, culture-language-identity, migration and integration, and opposition to the European Union (EU) through different discursive frames according to their national contexts, historical experiences, and political priorities, by comparatively examining their official party programs with a focus on diagnostic (problem definition) and prognostic (solution proposal) evaluations. The study is based on frame analysis, a qualitative research method, and the data analysis was conducted through conceptual coding. The sample of the study consists of the official party programs of the AfD and PVV. In the sample selection process, the structural suitability of the program texts for a problem-solution-oriented frame analysis and the fact that these two parties represent the manifestations of the radical right in different national contexts were decisive. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that although the AfD and PVV share the common ideological repertoire of the radical right, they problematize the same themes in different ways and generate distinct solution repertoires. In terms of the perception of democracy, while the AfD aims to overcome the representation crisis through institutional reforms and meritocracy; the PVV considers democracy as a cultural value that must be protected, viewing it under the threat of left-liberal elites and Islam. Regarding culture-language-identity, while the AfD advocates for constitutional preservation against multiculturalism and the sovereignty of the German language; the PVV centers on national pride and demands the complete ban of Islamic symbols in the public sphere. The AfD views the migration issue as an administrative vulnerability and a financial burden on the welfare state, proposing strict border controls and assimilation; whereas the PVV codes migration directly as a demographic population replacement and a security threat that reduces the native people to a minority status, demanding a complete halt to the right of asylum. Concerning anti-EU opposition, while the AfD frames the centralist structure of the union as a national sovereignty issue and advocates for the return of competencies to nation-states; the PVV characterizes Brussels directly as an usurper of sovereignty and dictates a complete exit from the system. These findings demonstrate that treating radical right parties as a homogeneous ideological block is reductionist and that their discursive architecture differentiates in a manner sensitive to the national context.
