Abstract

In the title compound, C(14)H(14)N(2)O(5)S(2)center dot H(2)O, the six-membered ring fused to the beta-lactam unit has a twisted conformation. Weak intramolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot S and C-H center dot center dot center dot O interactions occur. Intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot S, N-H center dot center dot center dot O, C-H center dot center dot center dot O and O-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen-bonding interactions stabilize the crystal structure, forming a three-dimensional network. Weak C-H center dot center dot center dot pi interactions are also present.
