High-rise building façade cleaning is still largely performed using human-operated crane systems. This situation leads to both high operational costs and significant occupational health and safety risks. In this study, a drone capable of detecting glass surfaces and autonomously performing cleaning operations was designed in order to reduce these risks and automate the cleaning process. The structural behavior of the designed system’s body and motor components under operational loads was investigated using the Finite Element Method (FEM). A three-dimensional model of the drone was created and analyzed in the ANSYS Workbench environment. In the mesh structure, a global element size of 3.5 mm and a local element size of 1 mm in the motor connection regions were employed. The average Element Quality and Skewness values were obtained as 0.77 and 0.93, respectively. Carbon fiber composite and PLA materials were preferred, and a thrust force of 69.058 N was applied to the center of each motor. The lower surfaces were modeled with fixed support boundary conditions. Static analysis results indicated that the maximum deformation occurred at the arm ends with a value of 7.77 mm, while the maximum equivalent stress reached 164.29 MPa. These values remained below the yield strength of the selected materials, demonstrating that the structural integrity of the system was preserved. The obtained results show that the developed glass-cleaning drone system is structurally reliable, possesses sufficient rigidity, and is suitable for operational use.
