Abstract
A simple and rapid method has been established for determination of trace amounts of copper, iron and nickel after separation and preconcentration by sorbing the metal/4-(2-Thiazolylazo) resorcinol (TAR) complexes on amberlite XAD-16 resin. The method was applied to the determination of these ions in industrial fertilizers with good results such as recoveries more than 95%, relative standard deviations 3 to 5% (N = 10) and detection limits under 40 ng/l.
