C17H13N3OS, M(r) = 307.38, monoclinic, P2(1)/n, a = 9.712 (3), b = 15.072 (3), c = 10.713 (3) angstrom, beta = 107.65 (3)-degrees, V = 1494.34 angstrom 3, Z = 4, D(m) = 1.372, D(x) = 1.366 g cm-3, Mo K-alpha, lambda = 0.71069 angstrom, mu = 2.11 cm-1, F(000) = 640, T = 295 K, final R(F) = 0.0417 for 2608 unique reflections. The pyrimidine ring is almost planar, the angle between the planes formed by the ring atoms N1-C6-C5 and C2-N3-C4 being 0.74-degrees.
