Denim is a twill fabric in which only the warp yarn is dyed with indigo dye. Denim fabrics are very popular in this century because they have high stability form and ensure different opportunities for novel esthetic and fashional effects and very comfortable. This can be ensured with different washing techniques generally consisting hazardous chemicals. Today because of environmental aspects and conscious, enzymes became an alternative to conventional processes in textile finishing. Among the enzymes used in textile treatment processes laccases are relatively new and usability is limited. In this study, it was aimed to investigate the use of laccase in denim washing. It was observed that especially enzymatic treatment duration has of great importance for the higher L* values of the denim garments. But with the increase in duration the back-staining was come out evidently. pH and Enzyme concentration has also effects on the obtained results but they were limited
