Abstract

In this study; seven oribatid mites in soil and litter samples collected from Pinarbasi (Kayseri) were determined. Of these, Parapyroppia cornuta (Berlese, 1910) and Scheloribates (Scheloribates) xylobatoides Mahunka, 1977 are new records for the Turkish fauna; Scheloribates (Scheloribates) fimbriatus Thor, 1930, Xenillus (Xenillus) tegeocranus (Hermann, 1804), Ceratoppia bipilis bipilis (Hermann, 1804), Oribatula (Zygoribatula) cognata (Oudemans, 1902) and Berniniella (Berniniella) serratirostris hauseri Mahunka, 1974 are previously recorded in Turkey.
