Abstract

The paper treats the émigré writers, A. Mar and L. Grigorieva, representatives and active creators of modern Russian and émigré literature encompassing A. Mar’s socio-literary publications in the "Russian" and "Rus- sian America" New York newspapers, as innovative individuals combining tradition and experience of Soviet, post- Soviet and Western literature with the values of journalist education. This study analyzes the common features and techniques of the third-wave émigré writers with respect to depicting Soviet and modern Western realities.
