Abstract

The development of sects in Islamic thought is shaped over various stages. In the historical process, Islamic thought schools do not have a uniform integrity. For this reason, sects may differ depending on various factors such as the change of space and time, and relations of interlocutorship. Ash'arism, one of the main sects of Sunnism, emerged in the Iraqi geography. It was after his death that the name Imam As'hari was adopted and brought to the forefront within the framework of a kalam thought. At this point, Khorasan geography came to the fore instead of Iraq in shaping the Ash'arism. The spread of Ash.arism in other basins of the Islamic geography besides its experience in Khorasan led to different experiences and diversity of thought. The differentiation of the mass that adopted Ash.arism seriously affected the formation of understanding and shaping Ash'arism.
