Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to determine the importance of beliefs and applications on animals in Central Anatolia in terms of Turk beliefs; also, it was aimed to compare these beliefs and applications with the other regions in Turkey and all over the world and finally to clarify these beliefs and applications. The beliefs on animals were evaluated under the titles of evil eye, news, extraordinary creatures, gender, delivery, ethno meteorology and calendar, luck or unlucky, abundance or in fertileness and death.
