In general Hanefi resources have been divided into three categories as zahirurrivaye, nadirurrivaye, and vakiat/nevazil. The first two resources types include opinion of "ashab al maddhab" who are Abu Hanifah and his students; the third resource type includes opinions of "mashayih" who are faqihs coming after Abu Hanifah's students in same maddhab. The basic gap in the first two resources is accuracy of conveyance coming from "ashab al maddhab". As a principle the conveyance of zahirurrivaye has a priority because it is more reliable than nadirurrivaye. Also it is principle that the opinion of "ashab al maddhab" that it doesn't matter to be zahirurrivaye or nadirurrivaye has been prefer to the opinion of "mashayih". In the Hanafi maddhab the most important book about conveyance of the thought imams is al-Kafi collecting zahirurrivaye by Hakeem al-Shaheed next to the Zahirurrivaye by Imam Muhammed. This book is accepted as the most reliable book in the Hanafi maddhab. Citations in the resources, statements in the biography and history books, and exegesis books by faqihs such as Serahsi, Isbicabi, and Enbari show this importancy clearly. Although there is a common sense about that it is a book collecting zahirurrivaye when the book is studied detailed it can be seen that Hakeem al-Shaheed used greatly not only zahirurrivaye but also nadirurrivaye. In this essay Hakeem al-Shaheed's activity in al-Kafi will be evaluated generally and then his care to identify the most correct opinion belongs to sect imams by evaluating the conveyance in specific points and subjecting the internal consistency test will be revealed.
