Özet

Porous carbon materials have been more attractive and promising ones since their outstanding properties such as high

surface area, accessible active sites, mass transport, diffusion. This study aims to synthesize bio-carbon based catalysts

via the microwave method and KOH activation agent. By the reason of the abundant of Peanut shells in Turkey besides

being an important agricultural by-product, they were used as a carbon source in this study. The obtained carbon was

analyzed by Brunauer - Emmett - Teller (BET), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman spectroscopy.
