Transmission expansion planning problem determines 000293882633 future electric transmission lines investments taking into account upcoming generation investments and future electric load forecasts. Electricity transmission line investment decisions are longterm strategic decisions, so these decisions should be carefu lly planned for reliability and durability of electrical operations. The efficiency of electrical system is only possible with perfect design of transmission network. Transmission lines have more than 30 years lifetime, however conductivity of the transmis sion lines has decreased over the years due to the distortion effect. In this study, transmission expansion planning problem is modeled in multiple stages considering the distortion effect for transmission In this study, transmission expansion planning pro blem is modeled in multiple stages considering the distortion effect for transmission lines. Solution will be obtained using model by considering multilinear programming and simulation stage transmission expansion system. The proposed method has a flexibl and the effectiveness of proposed method is tested on Garver6 bus and IEEEe structure 24 test problems in the literature. The problems are solved with Python program for multi Numerical results show that thestage transmission expansion planning problem. developed method quickly produces the optimum solution considering distortion effect. Proposed hybrid method can be fast and flexible support system for decision makers when distortion effect taken into consideration.
