Investigation of psychological well-being level of secondary school teachers in terms of some variables

Özet

In this study, teachers' psychological well-being level is investigated in relation to the variables of gender, age, marital status and social support. The study included to 447 teachers. The "Psychological Well-being Scale" was used as a data collection tool. According to the research results, male and female teachers' psychological well-being level is considerably high in terms of autonomy and purpose in life. On the other hand, in terms of environmental mastery, personal growth, interpersonal relations and self-acceptance, male teachers show a higher level of psychological well-being. Also, single teachers have a higher level of psychological well-being in terms of self-acceptance and divorced male teachers have a higher level of psychological well-being in terms of having autonomy.
