Özet

In this study, it was aimed to examine the change of teacher candidates' academic perseverance and attitudes towards learning. The universe of the research designed in the relational survey model is teacher candidates studying at universities in Turkey. The sample is 782 teacher candidates who can be reached and participated in the research voluntarily. Parametric tests were applied in SPSS 22 program to analyze the data collected in five weeks with the online data collection tool including demographic information, attitudes towards learning scale and academic perseverance scale. In the results there was no significant difference in the change of attitudes towards learning and academic perseverance levels according to gender. A significant difference was found between the departments and according to the grade level in the total scores of attitudes towards learning. There was a significant difference in learning scores between primary school and high school graduates according to father's education level. There was no significant difference in academic perseverance scores according to father's education level. There was no significant difference in total in the scores of attitude towards learning and academic perseverance according to the education level of the mother. While there was a significant difference in total attitude scores towards learning in terms of settlement, there was no significant difference in total academic perseverance scores by settlement. Study findings were discussed in comparison with the studies in the literature, and recommendations were given.
