Abstract:

An important part of the wars in the process from the beginning of human history to the Industrial Revolution were made for fertile lands, where nutrients are the energy source of the human body. Most of the wars from the Industrial Revolution to the present have been made for energy resources, which are the basic inputs of the economic production process of the states. The limited energy resources and the uneven distribution of these resources constitute the main reason for energy wars. Ensuring energy supply security for a state is vital for maintaining public order. Therefore, states apply various policies to supply accessible, producible, sustainable, affordable and uninterrupted energy. Turkey's energy supply security policy can be summarized as increasing resource diversity, domestic resource use, efficiency and liberalization in the sector.. In this study, Turkey's energy supply security problem will be analyzed by considering the policies implemented between 2000 and 2020 and their results.
