The Role of School Attachment Level and Used Science Strategies in the Classification of Science Success

The aim of this study is to determine the level of attachment to the school and the coping strategies used by middle school students in classification of their science achievements. For this purpose the quantitive resarch method and scanning pattern were used as a pattern. The universe of this research consists of middle school students studying in variosu secondary school affiliated to the ministry of Nantional Education in Ulukışla-Niğde in 2019-2020 academic year. 695 middle school studentswho are selected by the suıtability based sampling method participated in this study. Attachment scale to school, coping scale, and personal information form were used as a data collection tools. The resarch data were analyzed in the SPSS 20.0 program and quantitative findings reached were evaluated in line with the information abtained with in the framework ogf the literatüre. As a result of researches, the achievement of science was 0-44 a low of level 45-100 high level, 0-54 low level, 55-100 high level, 0-69 low level and 70-100 high level, it is conclued tahat being cannected to the school, back and teacher, active coping increase the sucsess of science. Only when we classify the sucsess as classification as 0-84 low level 85-100 high level, connecting toy he school and the teacher increases the sucsess of the active coping, besides this, the sucsess of the connecting to a friend, coping mith negative coping and ascaping is seen to be sucsessful. İn the group where the high level 85-100 there is a difference in the fact that connecting to the friend increases sucsess. As a result of the research, it is recommended to the teachers, the parents, the school administration, the guide teachers, the program preparers fort he increase of the attachment to the school and active coping strategies of the students. İn addition researchers have been advised to conduct the study with wider audiences and different variables.
