Abstract:

The engine test is the means by which the qualities of an overhaul job are established. The reliability and potential life of each vewly assembled engine is in question until the block test has been completed The accuracy of overhaul procedures can be determined only when corresponding care is exercised during the test since the failure of an engine to successfully complete its test depends as much on the test procedures as on the overhaul procedures. The engine test facility is defined as the structure which houses the test cell, control room, and other components and systems necessary to test engines. The Turkish Air Force had been an engine test facility with 1950?s technology in Kayseri Maintenance Center.. In 1990?s they needed a new facility for new engine types. A project group designed and constructed a new facility with new technology. The most important subject in this facility is acquisition and evaluation of test datas. In this workshop we aimed the establishing of the facility, correlation of test datas and working on characteristics of test engine.
