Özet

Line balancing ensures that workstations' efficiency and production process flows correctly. 5 different line balancing heuristic methods have been used in this study at Company X. These methods are Sequential Position Weighted Heuristic Method, Longest Processing Time Method, Shortest Processing Time Method, Largest Candidate Rule (LCR), Immediate Update First-Fit (IUFF) methods. It was determined that the best performance belonged to the Sequential Position Weighted Heuristic method after analysis. The number of personnel and idle time parameters were used as performance indicators. The results were The sweatshirt model, which is currently produced with 22 personnel, has been reduced to 18 personnel, resulting in a gain of 18.18% in personnel number and cost. In addition, the idle waiting time, which was currently 2.38, was reduced to 1.16, resulting in a 14% improvement. With these results, total efficiency and cost effectiveness of company X has increased significantly. Increasing efficiency has increased the competitiveness of the business by increasing production capacity. customer satisfaction, while reducing costs and increasing profitability.
